Fallback if I can't figure Fusion out would be something like Inkscape. Ok, I understand. But if you are taking measurements of complex shape you will spend some time doing this. Question is why? In my opinion the simplest way is just import this shape from already done enclosure project. This is only a couple of mouse clicks. Take a look at example. This is maybe not complex shape but I would like show you the way how I retrieve PCB's shape from enclosure project.
The example shows two 2D components of round enclosure which will be will be transferred to CAM software to make 2. PCB shape is marked by orange color. All I need to do is just import this shape. No calliper was used. No drawing in the Eagle was needed. Just simply import.
Yes, I know that if new enclosure is designed we can use clay modelling, use CADs for thousands dollars etc. But we don't talk about professional approach. There is no cheap software for hobbyists like me.
